If there was ever a wedding that perfectly captured the magic of a South African summer, it was Matt and Rori’s!

Surrounded by their favourite people, the couple celebrated their love at our Forest and Old Barn venue on a gorgeous summer’s day filled with happy tears, big hugs, plenty of laughter and one seriously good party.

The styling was effortlessly beautiful, with soft blue and white florals mixed with lush greenery, creating a fresh and romantic feel that blended perfectly with the natural beauty of the forest.

Rori looked absolutely incredible in a stunning, flowing gown that was made for a hot summer’s day. She was the picture of effortless elegance and somehow managed to look both glamorous and completely relaxed at the same time. And because every good party deserves a second outfit, she later changed into a shorter dress so she could really let loose on the dance floor!

Matt was equally stylish, embracing the ultimate summer wedding look in a sage green jacket, crisp white shirt and linen trousers. It was relaxed, classy and perfectly suited to the laid-back atmosphere of the day.

Their forest ceremony was filled with emotion, made even more special by the involvement of Matt’s daughter. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight during some moments, and it was a beautiful reminder that weddings are about bringing families together as much as they are about celebrating a couple’s love story.

After the “I dos”, guests enjoyed pre-drinks and a delicious harvest table tucked away beneath the trees. There is something incredibly special about seeing everyone gathered in the forest, drinks in hand, children running around and old friends catching up. It felt like one big family celebration.

As the sun started to dip, everyone headed to the Old Barn where the festivities continued with heartfelt speeches, a delicious dinner, cake cutting and then… the party really began!

The dance floor was packed, the laughter was contagious and the celebrations carried on well into the evening. It was the kind of wedding where nobody wanted the weekend to end.

But if you asked Matt and Rori what the very best part was, it wouldn’t be the flowers, the outfits or even the incredible party. It was having all of their family and friends together in one place, making memories that they’ll treasure forever.

And honestly, that’s what the very best weddings are all about.
